Adila Wamisho Tire


 

Biographical statement: Adila Wamisho Tire from Ethiopia is a MSc student working under the supervision of Prof. Sivakumar Venkataraman and Dr Olakunle Ogunjobi under the NASSP UKZN node. He is currently in the second year of the Masters degree programme. His research project is based on the study of the Effects of Geomagnetic Extreme Events in the middle Atmosphere using SuperDARN Radar and Space-borne Satellite.  His main research interest is on space weather.



Bernard Mmame

  Biographical statement: Bernard Mmame from Malawi holds a BSc in Physics and Maths from the University of Malawi and has graduated with BSc Hons Physics (NASSP) under the NASSP UKZN node. He is currently in the first year Masters degree Programme under the NASSP UKZN node. His research project is based on the investigation of ULF pulsations during TRINNI events under the supervision of Dr. Judy Stephenson and co-supervisors Prof Dave Walker and Dr Zolile Mtumela 

Phumlani Nkuthalo Phakathi


  Biographical  statement: Phumlani Nkuthalo Phakathi holds a BSc in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Zululand (UZ) and a BSc Hons in Astrophysics and Space Science from the University of Cape Town (UCT) under NASSP - UCT node. He is currently in the first year Masters degree Programme under the NASSP - UKZN node. His research project is based on studying Galaxy clusters with the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB)  Radiation using the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (SZ) effect, under the supervision of Dr Yin-Zhe Ma.  His main research is in Cosmological Astrophysics.
